quest for local food
I have been on a quest for local food for some time. Living in Charlotte, I had begun to find a nice network. Upon moving to Hilton Head however, not quite so easy… Although, we’ve only been here for 3 weeks, I guess I should be a little more patient.
David and I did find a local seafood market today though. All locally caught fish & shellfish. We bought 1/2 bushel of local oysters for $15 - unbelievable! David shucked and I enjoyed! I did feel a little guilty about all the work he did, but I got over it quick. They were undoubtedly the best oysters we have ever eaten.
Now, on to local eggs…
